DAY-TO-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 Welcome to Portugal
We will meet you upon arrival to Lisbon to transfer you to the hotel. Get a good rest from the road and enjoy some free time in Lisbon. At the end of the day, treat yourself to an authentic culinary experience at a local restaurant. Indulge in traditional Portuguese cuisine, savoring mouthwatering dishes such as bacalhau (salted codfish), grilled sardines, and pastel de nata, a delectable egg custard tart.
Day 2 Discovering Lisbon
Morning: Morning: Visit São Pedro de Alcântara for city views, explore Chiado and the Old Town, including the historic Jewish quarter. Enjoy local pastries and petiscos, ending at São Domingos Square. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: 2.5-hour TukTuk foodie tour through Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods, tasting authentic local dishes and discovering traditional flavors with a local guide.

Day 3 Sintra and Cascais
(day trip) Embark on a captivating day tour from Lisbon to Sintra, the fairytale-like landscapes of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the town’s magnificent palaces and castles, including the iconic Pena Palace. Perched on a hilltop, its vibrant colors and intricate architecture make it a sight to behold. Wander through the mystical Quinta da Regaleira estate, with its secret tunnels, beautiful gardens, and enigmatic symbolism. In the afternoon, continue your journey to the coastal gem of Cascais. Known for its picturesque beaches and charming atmosphere, Cascais offers a delightful blend of history and natural beauty.
Day 4 On a way to Coimbra
Travel north to Óbidos, a charming medieval town with cobbled streets and ancient walls—don’t miss a taste of local ginjinha. Continue to Nazaré, famous for its giant waves, seaside promenade, and fresh seafood. End the day in Coimbra, home to one of the world’s oldest universities, where you’ll explore its historic campus and lively atmosphere.
Day 5 Coimbra: discovering medieval landmarks
Explore Coimbra, starting with the historic University of Coimbra and the Joanina Library. Walk through the Old Town, visiting the Cathedral and Santa Cruz Monastery, and enjoy a relaxing Mondego River boat ride. If time allows, visit the Roman ruins of Conímbriga and sample local specialties. In the afternoon, continue to the Douro Valley.
Day 6 Douro Valley's vineyards
Enjoy a Douro Valley wine experience featuring vineyard views in Peso da Régua, a visit to a traditional winery with wine and Port tastings, and a scenic Rabelo boat cruise from Pinhão along the Douro River. Stop at stunning viewpoints and end the day at a beautiful vineyard, learning about Douro wine history while enjoying a final tasting.
Day 7 Ervedosa do Douro Hike & Winery tour
Experience the Douro Valley on a scenic hike through Ervedosa do Douro, walking along terraced vineyards with sweeping river views. Enjoy a picnic lunch with local wine at a winery, then cross the Douro River by traditional Rabelo boat to Pinhão. End the day with a final winery visit and wine tasting overlooking the river.
Day 8 On a way to Porto
Enjoy a scenic drive along the Douro River back to Porto. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the Ribeira district, the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, and Vila Nova de Gaia’s Port wine cellars. Visit Livraria Lello, stroll through Mercado do Bolhão, or relax at a riverside café while soaking in Porto’s vibrant atmosphere.
Day 9 Tasting experience in Graham’s Port Lodge
Enjoy a private tasting at Graham’s Port Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia, learning about its rich history and savoring exceptional Port wines. Have lunch at Vinum Restaurant with panoramic views of Porto and Gaia, or relax on the terrace with a glass of wine. In the evening, fly to Bilbao, where a private driver will take you to your centrally-located hotel.
Day 10 Discover Bilbao
Explore Bilbao’s Old Town, visiting Plaza Nueva, Santiago Cathedral, La Ribera Market, and San Anton Church, with leisure time for lunch. Then walk to the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry, and explore its iconic architecture and art at your own pace with an audio guide.
Day 11 On a way to San Sebastian
On the way to San Sebastian, visit San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and walk its iconic bridge with stunning coastal views. Continue to the charming coastal town of Getaria, explore its historic streets and harbor, and enjoy local seafood, before arriving in San Sebastian.
Day 12 Saint James Coastal day trip
Take a day trip along the Saint James Coastal Route from San Sebastian, hiking scenic coastal paths to Pasajes San Pedro and enjoying a boat ride to Pasajes San Juan for lunch. Return to San Sebastian and end the day on a private Pintxos tour of the Old Town, sampling the city’s famous miniature dishes.
Day 13 La Rioja Wine Hopping experience
Enjoy a private wine-hopping tour in La Rioja from San Sebastian, visiting renowned and boutique wineries for tastings. Savor a Riojan-style tapas lunch with wine, explore the hilltop town of Laguardia and its cave cellars, and stop for photos at iconic wineries like Marqués de Riscal and Ysios.
Day 14 Departure
Private transport to Bilbao airport.
