Day 2. Casablanca to Essaouira via the Atlantic Coast

world—and one of the few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors—it offers a rare
opportunity to admire the exquisite craftsmanship of Moroccan artisans, from hand-
carved cedar ceilings to intricate zellige tilework.
Following the visit, depart Casablanca for a scenic drive south along Morocco’s Atlantic
coastline toward the charming seaside town of Essaouira. The journey takes
approximately five to six hours, with a relaxing lunch stop along the way.
Arriving in Essaouira in the early evening, settle into a beautiful ocean-view riad tucked
inside the historic medina.
Day 3.Exploring Essaouira & First Moroccan Cooking Class
Wake up to the fresh Atlantic breeze in the enchanting coastal town of Essaouira,
known for its artistic spirit, relaxed atmosphere, and vibrant fishing port.
This morning you’ll explore the UNESCO-listed medina, where fortified ramparts
overlook the sea and narrow lanes reveal artisan workshops, woodcarvers, and colorful
markets. Essaouira’s architecture reflects centuries of cultural influences, blending
Portuguese, Berber, and French styles.
Lunch today may be one of the highlights of the trip: freshly caught fish selected at the
harbor and grilled before your eyes.
In the late afternoon, enjoy your first hands-on Moroccan cooking class. Using the
catch of the day and seasonal ingredients from the local market, you will learn to
prepare classic dishes such as:

Day 4. From the Coast to the High Atlas Mountains

After lunch, depart for the spectacular Ouirgane Valley in the High Atlas Mountains.

By late afternoon you’ll arrive at a beautiful mountain riad, where the serene landscapes

After a hearty Berber breakfast, venture deeper into the Atlas Mountains to visit the
historic Tinmel Mosque, one of the only mosques in Morocco accessible to non-Muslim
visitors.
Next, visit a lively local village souk, where colorful stalls overflow with fresh produce,
spices, herbs, and handmade goods. Here you’ll gather the ingredients needed for the
afternoon cooking class.
Lunch in the village features simple yet delicious Moroccan specialties such as grilled
skewers, fresh bread, and traditional salads.
Back at the riad, participate in another cooking workshop where you will prepare:

Day 6. Atlas Mountain Walk & Lunch with a Local Family

Day 7. Arrival in Marrakech: The Red City
